NEW Thesis Application Process !

Dear Students,

The application is to be submitted digitally via Moodle. Students must use their HTW E-Mail address and login details.

In the course there are two activities:

  1. Thesis Application.
  2. Upload of confirmation(s) from your supervisors, the exposé (if required) and further required documents:
    • The confirmations need to contain at least your name, the topic of the thesis and the semester in which the thesis is to be completed.
    • If you have a second supervisor who is not working at HTW, you have to submit documentation for their education, i.e. degree certificate. They must have earned at least a Master’s degree.
    • Note: You may also only suggest a 2nd supervisor (signature not required in this case) or leave this open. A 2nd supervisor will then be assigned to you.
    • Please submit .pdf files only.
    • We do not accept applications via email!
    • The cut-off date is 03. August 24 - 23:59 H.

You have eight weeks in which to write the thesis.

Candidates must apply for the extension at least 4 weeks prior to the deadline using the application form [PDF] and submit it to the BIB Administration Office.

Sickness

Sickness during the writing period has to be communicated to the BIB Course Administration immediately. A sick note/certificate of illness must be handed in within 3 days from the day of sickness to the BIB course administration office. A maximum of 7 calendar days is granted once. If the sick note exceeds 7 calendar days, an official certificate from a public health office must be provided.

Final oral examination

The oral examination is the last examination in your studies. Before you can defend your thesis, all your grades have to be recorded in LSF and your examination file must be ready. Please check the Study Regulations for further information.
